MDV Pathway Medicine Workshop

As part of our MDV (Medics, Dentists & Vets) Pathway programme, some of our Year 12 students took part in a hands-on workshop delivered by Meducators with Dr Kal and Dr Umer, gaining an insight into medical careers.

The sessions introduced key principles of medicine and medical ethics before students moved into practical skill stations. They learned how to measure vital signs, practised taking blood pressure accurately, and explored the clinical reasoning behind each procedure. The workshop ended with a suturing activity in which students practised their stitching techniques on bananas!

The workshop introduced some key clinical skills and gave our future medics a great insight into a career in medicine.
