Salamanca 2026
BackSome colleagues and I had the privilege of spending an unforgettable week in Salamanca last week with a lively group of students ranging from Year 10 to Year 13 on a language learning trip, where every day blended study with discovery.
Mornings were filled with Spanish classes at the fabulous Colegio Delibes and afternoons led us into the heart of the city, especially the Plaza Mayor, where its golden stone seemed to glow at every hour and quickly became our favourite meeting point. We explored both cathedrals, moving from the intricate Romanesque details of the old cathedral to the soaring grandeur of the new, marvelling at how centuries of history stood side by side.
Between shared laughter and hesitant but enthusiastic conversations in Spanish, I am delighted to report that our students grew in confidence and curiosity. By the end of the week, Salamanca felt less like a destination and more like a place we had briefly called home.
¡Salamanca, nos veremos otra vez el año que viene!
