Law Pathway: Irwin Mitchell Careers Talk

Just before half term, we were delighted to welcome school alumna Clare Wiseman, Head of Family Law at Irwin Mitchell, to speak to students as part of our Law Pathway programme.

With over 30 years’ experience and an international reputation in family law, Clare shared fascinating insights into her route into the profession and spoke in depth about her experiences within family law. Clare also offered valuable advice on what makes a strong applicant to competitive firms, highlighting the importance of commercial awareness, resilience, initiative and excellent communication skills.

Students gained insight into how the legal landscape is evolving, and practical steps they can take now to strengthen future applications. It was an inspiring and informative session that gave students a real understanding of life in the legal profession, and we are very grateful to Clare for her time and expertise.
