Classical Civilisation Trip

On 13th February, our Year 12 Classical Civilisation students visited the British Museum and the Bloomsbury Theatre. The students attended the annual Greek play staged by University College London, which this year marked the university’s 200th anniversary. The production of Iphigenia in Aulis by Euripides was an imaginative and engaging adaptation. The play was cleverly reimagined in a school setting, where the Greek troops are billeted before sailing to war, while still preserving the key themes and storyline of the original tragedy.

It was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience how Greek drama can be brought to life for modern audiences in a dynamic and thought-provoking way.
