Engineering Pathway and Business Studies Trip

Earlier this month, a group of seventeen Year 13 students went on a joint Engineering Pathway and Business Studies trip. On the first day, they visited the Morgan Car Factory, where cars are handmade using techniques that haven't changed in 100 years.

The second day, was a visit to the JCB World Headquarters to learn about large-scale manufacturing.

During both visits, students walked around the production lines, asked lots of questions about production, materials, workforce organisation, and safety. They also saw two famous British-made products up close which will help them generate case studies for future exam questions. Next year, the same trip will be run for Year 13 students in Design, Business, and Physics.
