Network Champion for German Awards

We a very proud to announce that Mr Stalley was one of only six recipients of the inaugural Network Champion for German Awards, awarded at a reception at the German Embassy last week. A reflection of the incredible work Mr Stalley does with the Langton Language Centre to promote and support the German language, and of our thriving German department in school.

Giving his acceptance speech fully in German (Mr Stalley's fourth language!) was an impressive sight to behold! Despite being listed by the Government as a vital language for our economic and cultural life, nationwide many schools have sadly stopped teaching German. We, however, very much buck that trend, with over 120 students studying German at GCSE and German A Level groups running every year.
